"Siku", meaning ice in Inuit, comprises eight ceramic pieces representing the fragility of Arctic ice in the face of climate change. The central theme revolves around a large ice sheet intentionally shattered into eight parts, symbolizing the urgent need to address the melting Arctic ice and its profound impact on Inuit communities in Canada. Each unique fragment serves as a poignant reminder of the environmental challenges faced by those whose way of life is intricately connected to the disappearing ice.
